How Do You Swap Tokens on Byreal From Your Own Wallet?

To swap tokens on Byreal, connect a Solana wallet, choose the token you will spend and the one you want to receive, review the quoted output and costs, then approve the swap in your wallet. Your assets stay in your custody until you sign, and the tokens you receive arrive in that wallet.

A Solana Wallet and SOL Come First

You need a Solana wallet funded with the token you plan to spend and some SOL for possible network costs. If you are transferring funds from a centralised exchange, select the Solana network and check the receiving address before withdrawing. Solana documentation puts the base transaction fee at 5,000 lamports (0.000005 SOL) per signature, before any optional priority fee.

A Byreal Swap Takes Five Steps

The sequence is connect, select, review, set your price limit, and sign. Unlike an order on a centralised exchange, the swap uses liquidity available for your exact trade size.

  1. Connect your funded Solana wallet on the swap screen and check that the displayed address is yours. Phantom is one example of a compatible wallet. Connecting reveals your public address to the interface; it does not transfer your tokens.
  2. Choose the token you will spend, then search for the one you want to receive. Compare its ticker and mint address with the Byreal supported tokens before selecting it; Byreal's search may show tokens with similar names. Enter the amount you want to spend so the interface can calculate a quote.
  3. Review the quoted output, route, and estimated price impact for that amount. An automated market maker (AMM) draws from liquidity pools, where a larger trade can move the price; RFQ routing asks market makers to offer a price. The useful comparison is how much you receive for the same input after route costs. Here are two illustrative cases side by side for a SOL/USDC swap: spending 100 USDC might quote 0.4995 SOL with 0.1% price impact, while spending 1,000 USDC might quote 4.90 SOL with 2% impact. The larger order gets fewer SOL per USDC as it reaches deeper into available liquidity. If its quote looks poor, compare a smaller trade or a later quote, including any extra transaction costs.
  4. Set a slippage tolerance you can accept, then check the displayed minimum received. Price impact is already reflected in the quote; slippage tolerance limits how much worse execution may become before the swap fails. For example, a 0.500 SOL quote with 0.5% tolerance gives a minimum of about 0.4975 SOL. A failed on-chain attempt can still incur a network fee.Check the costs alongside that minimum. On-chain swaps can include a pool trading fee and a network charge typically around 0.00001–0.00002 SOL, with any priority fee varying by conditions. If the receiving token needs a new token account, roughly 0.002 SOL may also be reserved as reclaimable account rent.
  5. Confirm the swap in the interface, then inspect the transaction request in your wallet and sign it. Check the token and amount before approving: a completed Solana swap cannot be reversed like a cancelled exchange order. Once it confirms, check your wallet balance and the transaction record for the amount actually received.
